“Always Everywhere”
Weekly Recap!
Life Update
We survived another week in 2026! That alone feels like a huge accomplishment.
Speaking of accomplishments - I’m going to be sharing a scene from my work-in-progress novel with the public for the first time!! You can buy tickets to the virtual event here.
Join ProjectWriteNow for an intimate virtual gathering where writers at various stages of their journeys come together to share their craft. Our literary salon features a renowned guest author, Courtney Maum, alongside three voices from our vibrant writing community (Zoë Gulliksen, Mark McDevitt, and Jamie Yieh)!
Thank you to PWN and Courtney Harler for hosting and inviting me ♥️

This week I read two rereads: “I Feel Bad About My Neck” by Nora Ephron and “The Lover’s Dictionary” by David Levithan. Ephron’s eassy on living in the Anthrop building (an inspiration of the Arconia in ‘Only Murders In The Building) makes me long to live on the Upper West Side again.
‘The Lover’s Dictionary’ was a constant companion when it first was published in 2011 but I haven’t reread in over a decade. It’s just as gutting and poignant as I remember.
I also picked up a certain book written by a Brontë sister to reread for the first time since high school …

I went to see the new ‘Wuthering Heights’ movie and I expected to dislike it. Much to my shock, I absolutely LOVED IT. I’m a little obsessed.
This never happens. I usually hate book to screen adaptations. I usually hate weird adaptations to beloved novels. However, since ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Emily Brontë was never one of my favorite classics I don’t view the original text as sacred. The costumes! The set! The music!
I even watched the 1939 film this weekend to fill the void but it was not the same. I want to live inside the absurd world director Emerald Fennell created.
Would Dev Patel have made a better Heathcliff ? 10000%. If Fennell had titled the movie ‘Cathy & Heathcliff’ instead, most of the criticism would be null. Much like how ‘Saltburn’ was an absurd take on ‘Brideshead Revisited’, this 2026 film would not be taught in British Lit lectures.
You’ll be able to listen to my full thoughts on the next episode of the Nothing New: A Remake Podcast hosted by my dear friend Justin and his awesome buddy Andrew. I’m so excited to have been invited back to be a guest on their pod because I do love to yap pretentiously about movies!
Currently Listening To
I may not have been cool enough to have a BRAT summer but I’m all here for the Wuthering Winter featuring Charlie XCX’s soundtrack for the movie. “House” and “Always Everywhere” are my favorite tracks and I’m hoping I can eventually snag this album on vinyl soon so my home can sound like it’s being haunted by a toxic ghost longing for her vile other half of her soul.

Magnesium Solace Nighttime Magnesium Lotion
I saw someone on TikTok recommend this product if you grind your teeth. They said to put this magnesium lotion on your masseter muscles (jaw) before bed and it will help with teeth grinding and clenching.
I’ve spent an exuberant amount of money on mouth guards ranging from generic ($25) to custom built ($800) as well as outrageous alternative methods including mouth tape ($20) to adult pacifiers (just…no). So I’m clearly willing to try ANYTHING.
I started using this product exactly two months ago and dare I say that I think it does work? It’s not the be all end all but I have noticed that my jaw hurts less in the morning. Plus the direction say to put some on the bottom of your feet and calves so I do that as well - I fall asleep much faster on the nights I use the lotion vs the nights I forget. For $9, I would suggest trying if you too can’t escape from the unrelenting rage and anxiety at current society.
Good luck this week, stay safe, Abolish ICE, and Fuck Donald Trump!
